Dr. Rodney S. Sampson, MBA General Overseer Public Affairs & Marketing
Rodney Sheron Sampson is a spiritual and intellectual dynamo. Sampson, an Atlanta native, is the chariman of Direction, www.directionmovement.com, an emerging relevant not for gain organization headquartered in Atlanta, GA. In addition, he serves as General Overseer of Public Affairs & Marketing in The Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International under the leadership of Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr. He is committed to building a global ministry of relevance and practical application designed to activate the divine purpose of God in the lives of the 7 billion people on the planet. Taking intentional actions and steps towards entrepreneurship and leadership is the focal point of this sweeping global movement. This revolution has started at Direction in Atlanta. Sampson, an international entrepreneur, thought leader, author and leader of faith and economics has been an entrepreneur for most of his life.
At 35, reaches into the worlds of business, faith, and global relations simultaneously. He regularly consults heads of state, Fortune 500 corporations, and bishops representing millions of faithful constituents across the globe. His ventures include a pioneering digital broadcast company, an international business development and full service advertising agency, a fund of funds, a Christian media company, a Christian entrepreneurial association and a real estate development group.
While developing several successful companies, Sampson has emerged as an expert on leadership and entrepreneurship speaking to thousands each year. Mentored by Prophet Brian Mosley, Dr. John Maxwell and Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sampson has provided consultations and strategic master plans to numerous political, business leaders, Fortune level companies, and global figures (examples include His Excellency Omar Bongo Ondimba, President of The Gabonese Republic, Price Waterhouse Coopers of Namibia, and Ambassador Kaire Mduende, United Nations Ambassador).
As a marketing and business economist, Sampson has executed lucrative marketing strategies for Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ, Disney/Walden Media’s The Chronicles of Narnia, and Dr. John Maxwell’s Maximum Impact and Living Leadership initiatives. For the last three years, he has taught seminars for Dr. John Maxwell’s EQUIP, a leadership development institute in Africa and the United States.
Dr. Sampson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Tulane University, an MBA from Keller Business School, and an honorary Doctorate of Ministry degree from The International Gospel Fellowship Theological Seminary in Greenville, SC. He also attended the Pennsylvania State University of Medicine.
For his contributions to humanity, Sampson was awarded The Phoenix Award - the City of Atlanta’s highest honor - by Mayor Shirley Franklin in 2004.
